Rumford Hospital is seeking a laboratory professional to perform waived, moderate, and highly complex tests as authorized by CLIA. The role requires adherence to testing procedures, quality control, and effective communication with leadership.

Responsibilities include maintaining equipment, reviewing results for accuracy, and supporting lab policy development. Per Diem schedule and variable shift support the department's flexible coverage.

Qualifikationen

• ASCP certification, or equivalent, preferred.
• One year hospital laboratory work experience preferred, but not required.
• Bachelor’s Degree in chemical, physical, biological health science or Medical Laboratory Technology from an accredited institution, or other educational requirements stated in CLIA (42 CFR 493.1423).
• Current and Valid State License if the laboratory is located in a state where required.

Aufgaben

• Adhere to the laboratory's procedures for collection, processing, analysis, and reporting of patient test results.
• Follow the laboratory's established quality control policies and procedures in documenting all corrective actions taken when test systems deviate from specifications.
• Identify problems that may adversely affect test performance and notify the supervisor or Medical Director.
• Perform a wide variety of laboratory procedures in Hematology, Blood Bank, Chemistry, Urinalysis, Coagulation, Microbiology, Immunology, etc.
• Perform and document maintenance on instruments and equipment as appropriate.
• Review the accuracy of patient results prior to releasing or reporting.
• Adhere to safety, infection control, emergency preparedness, and HR policies; may be Lead Tech during shifts.
