Qualifications

• ASCP certification, or equivalent, preferred.
• Bachelor’s Degree in chemical, physical, biological health science or Medical Laboratory Technology from an accredited institution.
• Current and Valid State License if required by the state.

Responsibilities

• Perform waived, moderate, or highly complex tests across Hematology, Blood Bank, Chemistry, Urinalysis, Coagulation, Microbiology, Immunology and related areas.
• Adhere to lab procedures for collection, processing, analysis and reporting of results; follow QC policies.
• Maintain and calibrate instruments; document maintenance and corrective actions.
• Review accuracy of patient results prior to release; identify age-specific differences in results.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in chemical, physical, biological health science or Medical Laboratory Technology from an accredited institution, or other educational requirements stated in CLIA (42 CFR 493.1423).

Current and Valid State License if the laboratory is located in a state where required.
