This job involves receiving and preparing specimens according to protocols, performing laboratory tests and calculations, performing quality control, calibrating and maintaining equipment, performing phlebotomy, and maintaining patient confidentiality.

Education
Required - Bachelor's Degree in medical technology, laboratory science, or related field. Copy of Transcript required.
Work Experience
Required - None.
Certifications
Required - Current license in the state of practice (if applicable). ASCP, AMT, or AAB certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist or Technologist. Incumbents certified after January 1, 2004, must complete the ASCP Certification Maintenance Program.

Physical and Environmental Demands
