Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) with Super User or Administrative experience to support the NIH, Department of Laboratory Medicine, in Bethesda, MD. The role emphasizes LIS interfaces, testing, validation, and collaboration with IT and lab staff.

Requirements include NAACLS-accredited CLS program, 4+ years hospital lab experience, 2+ years LIS Super User experience, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or Bachelor's with 3+ years of specialized clinical laboratory experience.
• NAACLS-accredited Medical Laboratory Scientist/Clinical Laboratory Scientist program.
• 4+ years full-time experience in a clinical hospital laboratory.
• 2+ years full-time experience with an LIS at Super User/Administrator level.
• Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Follow the laboratory's established policies and procedures.
• Troubleshoot LIS interfaces and communication problems.
• Build, validate, and test new test requests and interface modifications.
• Assist with validation of new interface projects (e.g. Mayo Access).
• Coordinate and implement CRIS upgrades/changes and test them in LIS environments.
