Job summary

Willamette Valley Cancer Center is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist to join the Eugene/Springfield lab team. You will analyze specimens, conduct tests, and support QA tasks across Chemistry, Hematology and Immunology, with potential duties at the Springfield site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or related health care field, or biology/chemistry with relevant coursework.
• AMT, ASCP or equivalent certification preferred.
• Entry level; lab experience preferred.
• 4-year degree candidates must take Hematology or Chemistry exam after 1 year of training.

Responsibilities

• Assist with specimen analysis and laboratory testing for Chemistry, Hematology and Immunology.
• Perform instrument maintenance and QC documentation.
• Record results and prepare specimens for send-out testing as needed.
• Maintain inventory and prepare reagents and solutions.
• Follow QA policies and document corrective actions for test deviations.
• Support Springfield location as needed.
