Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited Medical Technology program.
• One of the following registrations or trainings: MT/ASCP, MLS/ASCP, CLT registration or HEW proficiency; Military Clinical Specialist training.
• Current Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners licensure.
• New graduates must obtain ASCP certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Process specimens accurately and enter charges per policy.
• Record and report test results as required by department.
• Maintain complete records/files per lab policies.
• Perform quality control procedures and document actions taken.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and reagents per specifications.
• Learn laboratory methods, technology, and instrumentation.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by Woman's Hospital.
