Woman's Hospital in Baton Rouge, LA seeks a Clinical Laboratory Scientist for the General Lab. The role involves testing, quality control, and maintaining records in a busy lab environment.

The candidate must hold a Medical Technology degree with ASCP registration or equivalent, current Louisiana licensure, and obtain ASCP within 90 days of hire. Schedule includes 8 day/evenings on and 6 days/evenings off, with hourly pay range $27.00–$40.00.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited Medical Technology program.
• ASCP Registration or equivalent (MT/MLS/CLT) or HEW Proficiency registration.
• Current licensure with the Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners.
• New graduates must obtain ASCP certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsabilidades

• Processes specimens accurately (orders tests, enter charges, provides documentation) adhering to laboratory policies and procedures.
• Records and reports test results accurately and in accordance with departmental policies.
• Maintains accurate and complete records/files/paperwork in accordance with laboratory section policies.
• Performs quality control procedures and records results noting any corrective action, if needed.
• Maintains laboratory equipment/reagents in accordance to manufacturers’ specifications or departmental policies.
• Learn laboratory methods, technology, and instrumentation of both new and old applications willingly.
• Any other duties as assigned by Woman's Hospital.

Educación

Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology

ASCP Registration / MT MLS CLT or HEW Proficiency

Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners licensure

ASCP certification within 90 days of hire
