Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related field.
• Clinical Competency required within 3 months of hire and every three years.
• One year of progressive clinical experience or one year of hospital internship subsequent to degree.

Responsibilities

• Provides full range of sample test analyses and laboratory services independently.
• Maintains quality control throughout testing process from receipt to reporting.
• Writes procedures using CLSI format and coordinates reviews and updates.
• Establishes and maintains a laboratory quality control program.
• Trains new employees and ensures ongoing competency of staff.
• Assists with CAP standards and CLIA regulations implementation.
• Coordinates inventory levels with the laboratory manager.
• Provides LIS consultation and educates staff on acceptable practices.
