Job summary

Salinas Valley Health Medical Center is hiring a Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) to perform technical and complex laboratory analyses under supervision. The CLS may supervise in the absence of a Lead and assists physicians in diagnosis and treatment through accurate test performance.

The ideal candidate holds a California CLS license or ASCP, with at least one year of recent CLS experience, and a Baccalaureate degree in Medical Technology or related field.

Qualifications

• Work requires a Baccalaureate Degree in Medical Technology, Chemistry, Biology or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical and complex laboratory analysis in one or more sections of the Laboratory.
• Recognize deviations from expected results and modify procedures to correct issues.
• Collect specimens and prepare them for analysis; report results per procedure.
