Job summary

OU Health is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Scientist to perform routine and specialized diagnostic tests in the Pathology Lab. This role requires careful handling of specimens, adherence to safety protocols, and accurate documentation in the lab information system.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in medical laboratory technology or equivalent.
• Certification through ASCP, AMT, or similar is preferred.
• 0–3 years of clinical laboratory experience for Level 1; 3–5 years for Level 2; 5+ years for Level 3.

Responsibilities

• Perform waived and nonwaived laboratory tests per policy.
• Handle specimens responsibly and ensure proper labeling and tracking.
• Maintain instrument calibration and quality control procedures.
• Document results in the laboratory informatics system.
• Participate in safety, performance improvement, and competency activities.
• Collaborate with care teams and communicate critical values.
