Job summary

ManpowerGroup Global, Inc. seeks a Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) to join the Toxicology Testing and Quality teams in Santa Rosa, CA on 2nd shift.

You will perform complex laboratory analyses, review results for final release, and help ensure CLIA-compliant data integrity, with pay up to $52 per hour and a 4-month contract with extension and conversion potential. Qualifications

• California CLS license (Generalist, Toxicologist or Chemist) required.
• Bachelor's degree in science is required.
• 2 years toxicology lab experience with mass spectrometry (LC/MS/MS or GC/MS) OR 5 years general clinical lab with toxicology knowledge.
• Pipetting and computer skills; ability to learn LIMS systems.
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication; strong safety, compliance and quality mindset.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory tests per standard procedures and certify results prior to release.
• Review calibration and QC results to ensure specification limits and take corrective actions before releasing results.
• Investigate inconsistent results and monitor QC performance; recommend corrective actions.
• Clean, maintain, troubleshoot and calibrate analytical equipment per manufacturer specs and CLIA; document accordingly.
• Provide supervision, training, and support for Unlicensed Testing Personnel and certify competency per state requirements.

As a Clinical Laboratory Scientist, you will be part of the Laboratory Department supporting the Toxicology Testing and Quality teams. What's the Job?

• Perform laboratory tests in accordance with standard procedures, applying expertise and sound judgment in the final review and certification of results prior to release
• Review calibration and QC results to ensure they meet specification limits and take appropriate corrective actions before releasing donor test results
• Investigate inconsistent lab results and monitor QC performance for shifts or trends, recommending corrective actions as necessary
• Clean, maintain, troubleshoot, and calibrate analytical equipment to manufacturer specifications and CLIA requirements, maintaining proper documentation throughout
• Provide supervision, training, and support for Unlicensed Testing Personnel and certify their continued competency per state requirements

What's Needed?

• Active California license as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist (Generalist, Toxicologist, or Chemist) under BPC, Chapter 3
• Bachelor's degree in science (required)
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a toxicology laboratory working with mass spectrometry (LC/MS/MS and/or GC/MS), or 5 years of general clinical laboratory experience with toxicology knowledge
• Pipetting and computer skills, with the ability to learn LIMS systems
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills with a strong commitment to safety, compliance, and quality
