Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in laboratory science, biological science, chemistry, or education/work experience meeting high complexity testing qualifications (CLIA 42 CFR 493.1489).
• Certification from a nationally recognized agency (MLS/ASCP, MT, etc.) is required.
• Experience level varies by laboratory section; some sections require more stringent education and certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform all assigned laboratory testing and reporting for the testing area.
• Adhere to Rush policies, procedures, and code of conduct; uphold Rush ICARE values.
• Maintain proper PPE usage, quality control, and instrument maintenance; ensure turnaround times.

MLS/ASCP certification (MLS/MT)

Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) certification with 5 years high complexity lab experience
