Job summary

GENNTE Technologies seeks a Clinical Laboratory Scientist in Montana to prepare specimens, operate automated analyzers, and evaluate results across all lab areas. The position includes manual testing per detailed procedures and QA responsibilities.

Requirements include a biology or chemistry degree, MT licensure as CLS, or ASCP equivalent certification, with knowledge of CLIA/HIPAA and proficiency testing. Nights/weekends and on-call shifts are involved.

Qualifications

• Degree in biology or chemistry and MT licensure or ASCP certification.
• ASCP or equivalent certification is required or preferred.
• Montana licensure as Clinical Laboratory Scientist is required or preferred.
• Knowledge of CLIA, HIPAA and compliance is needed.
• Experience across all lab areas including Microbiology and Immunohematology is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Prepare specimens and operate automated analyzers; evaluate test results.
• Perform manual tests following detailed instructions.
• Work in all areas of the laboratory as needed.
• Oversee quality control, proficiency testing and QA activities.
• Participate in facility performance improvement projects.
• Nights and weekends are included; on-call unsupervised work may be required.

Job description

Prepare specimens and operate automated analyzers. Evaluates test results. Perform manual tests following detailed instructions. Must be able to work in all areas of this laboratory. Responsible for laboratory quality control, proficiency testing and Quality Assurance. Participate in facility performance improvement projects. Nights and Weekends are included in the workweek. Works unsupervised in an “on call” situation.

Degree in biology or chemistry, ASCP or equivalent certification, Licensure in State of Montana as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist.

Knowledge and ability to perform routine laboratory procedures, research and set up new procedures; Experience in all areas of the laboratory including Microbiology and Immunohematology, computers, specialized analyzers, and equipment preferred.

Knowledge of CLIA, Compliance and HIPAA regulations, budgeting.

Ability to work cooperatively with all departments. Ability to productively work unsupervised.
