Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Clinical Laboratory Science from a NAACLS accredited program or BS in a Biological/Physical Science meeting CLIA requirements.
• Preferred Education: MBA, MHA, or applicable graduate degrees to support department operations.
• ASCP Board of Certification (BOC) or AMT certification as MLS or MLT; if MLT, MLS within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily laboratory operations across all testing areas (Chemistry, Hematology, Microbiology, Blood Bank).
• Coordinate staffing schedules, workload distribution, and shift coverage.
• Report turnaround times, test volumes, and workflow efficiency to leadership.
• Ensure CLIA, CAP, OSHA and regulatory compliance.
