Clinical Laboratory Assistant II (CLA II)

Position Overview: This role involves performing inpatient and outpatient phlebotomy procedures, troubleshooting specimen collection issues, and supporting laboratory operations. Requires 2 years of phlebotomy and/or medical assisting experience, certification, and a high school diploma or GED. Preferred qualifications include an associate degree and relevant certifications such as CMLA, NCMSMLA, NRCMA, or PBT.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collect and process blood specimens.
  • Coordinate staff and maintain lab support.
  • Assist hospital personnel with draw orders and difficult draws.
  • Train phlebotomists and coordinate testing.
  • Perform clerical duties including data entry, stocking, and equipment cleaning.
  • Support procedural updates and review requisitions.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Work Details:
  • Location: West Little Rock Clinic
  • Schedule: Monday-Friday, days during clinic hours
  • Shift: Day shift
  • Type: Full-time
Qualifications:
