Job summary

Qualifications

• Working-level English proficiency (reading, writing, speaking).
• 5 years of recent general laboratory experience; 1 year as a Clinical Lab Assistant in an acute care setting required.
• Teaching experience is preferred.
• Must obtain/maintain Laboratory Assistant licensure within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate onboarding of new employees and orient them to Lab Support Services expectations.
• Assess employee competencies and provide input on training of technical skill set.
• Develop and implement orientation programs for Clinical Lab Assistant staff and leads.
• Assist in revising departmental Policies and Procedures and in protocol development.
• Coordinate student rotations for Phlebotomy College programs and support departmental leadership.
