Job summary

Renown Health, in partnership with Kaiser Permanente, is expanding clinical education and patient-family education across Northern Nevada. This educator role leads adult learning initiatives, develops staff competencies, and coordinates in-service trainings for RNs, medical assistants, and outpatient staff.

The nurse educator applies advanced clinical knowledge, mentors staff, and supports regulatory compliance while contributing to high-quality patient care in a collaborative setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing or healthcare field required.
• Master's degree in nursing or healthcare field preferred.
• Two years clinical experience in the specialty area preferred.
• State of Nevada RN license required at time of hire.
• BLS certification required at time of hire.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, Word).

Responsibilities

• Develop and coordinate up-to-date in-service classes for registered nurses, medical assistants and outpatient staff.
• Assist MA Training Coordinators with the MA Trainee program, including curriculum development and coordination.
• Provide patient care as part of the education and clinical program.
• Collaborate with nursing management and other departments to ensure quality education and patient outcomes.
