Job summary

Labcorp in Burlington, NC seeks a Technologist Trainee to join our team and help deliver high-quality patient care through laboratory testing. The role supports processing and reporting results under supervision, with a focus on accuracy, safety and teamwork.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree in a chemical/biological science or medical technology, and may include ASCP/AMT certification preference and overtime flexibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology.
• Experience in clinical laboratory testing is a plus but not required.
• ASCP or AMT certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria.
• Perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to SOPs.
• Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation for proper function.
• Report accurate and timely test results to support patient care.
• Perform and document preventative maintenance and quality control procedures.
• Maintain testing bench supplies and assist with specimen processing as needed.
