Job summary

Labcorp seeks a Technologist Trainee to join the Special Chemistry team in Burlington, NC. The role supports testing workflows with full training provided for new grads, and requires adherence to SOPs, safety protocols, and team collaboration.

Schedule is Tuesday–Saturday, 8:00am–4:30pm. Responsibilities include specimen acceptability, instrument operation, data reporting and reagent evaluation, with opportunities to grow within Labcorp’s diagnostic network.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology.
• New grads welcome; full training provided.
• Ability to pass a color blindness test and flexibility to work OT or other shifts

Responsibilities

• Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to criteria.
• Perform routine and complex technical procedures per SOPs.
• Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality.
• Prepare, test and evaluate new reagents or controls.
• Report accurate and timely test results for quality patient care.
• Maintain safety and PPE standards.
• Identify and replenish testing bench supplies as necessary.
