Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Technologist Trainee to join our team in Burlington, NC. The position follows a Tuesday–Saturday schedule, 12:30am–9:00am, and provides full training for new grads.

You will perform routine and complex testing procedures, ensure equipment operates reliably, and report results to support quality patient care. A bachelor’s degree in a chemical or biological science is required, with color vision testing as a prerequisite.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology is required.
• Non-traditional degrees with applicable science credits that meet CLIA standards may meet education requirements.
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test is required.

Responsibilities

• Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria.
• Perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to departmental SOPs.
• Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality.
• Report accurate and timely test results to deliver quality patient care.
• Maintain a safe work environment and wear appropriate personal protective equipment.
