Responsibilities

Performs assays of biological specimens according to policies and procedures.
Reviews and reports results with proper documentation; alerts supervisor to problems or critical results.
Maintains laboratory equipment via routine preventive maintenance and documentation.
Performs and documents Quality Control procedures and SOPs; ensures test systems stay within performance specs.
Handles proficiency test samples and special tests as directed.
Identifies and reports problems affecting test performance or results.
Documents corrective actions for deviations from performance specifications.
Troubleshoots equipment to correct malfunctions.
Maintains cleanliness and follows safety and infection control procedures.
Performs related duties as required; essential functions as defined by ADA.
