Qualifications

• Maintain QC requirements and calibrations as necessary to ensure accurate results.
• Identify and correct problems with specimens/instruments to protect patient care.
• Collaborate with staff, supervisors and physicians to achieve department goals.

Responsibilities

• Operates lab equipment and performs maintenance and calibrations as required; monitors and approves QC requirements.
• Performs patient testing ensuring quality and accuracy of results; identifies and corrects problems affecting patient care.
• Participates in proficiency testing and special projects as required by manager or director.
• Works cooperatively with coworkers, supervisors, department manager and physicians to meet goals and support team success.
