Job summary

Liberty Regional Medical Center in Hinesville, GA is seeking a Medical Technologist to perform clinical laboratory procedures, quality assurance and instrument maintenance. You will analyze specimens to support diagnosis and patient care across neonates to geriatrics, while collaborating with medical staff and external agencies.

The role involves safe lab operations, data interpretation, and may include day-to-day supervision of five technical staff.

Qualifications

Education level equivalent to completion of four years of college with concentration in medical technology or related field.
Clinical competence in medical technology preferred.
AMT/ASCP/HHS/NCA/ISCLT certification required; annual recertification preferred.
Minimum of one year experience in laboratory science.

Responsibilities

Perform clinical laboratory procedures, quality assurance and instrument maintenance.
Analyze specimens and obtain data for the diagnosis and treatment of diseases.
Provide safe and efficient laboratory services to neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults and geriatric patients.
Communicate with medical staff, other departments and outside agencies while maintaining confidentiality.
May provide day-to-day direction to five technical and skilled personnel.
