Job summary

Labcorp in New Castle, DE seeks a Technologist to join our team. Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 9:30 am - 6:00 pm.

Responsibilities include determining specimen acceptability, performing routine and complex procedures, monitoring instruments, preparing reagents, reporting results, and maintaining quality control. Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in a Chemical or Biological science or MLS, with 1 year of clinical laboratory testing experience; ASCP or AMT certification

Qualifications

Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
Teamwork and communication within a high-volume lab.
Proficiency with computers and LIS systems.

Responsibilities

Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria.
Perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions per SOPs.
Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation; ensure proper functionality.
Prepare, test and evaluate new reagents or controls.
Report accurate and timely test results to support patient care.
Perform and document preventative maintenance and quality control procedures.
