Qualifications

• B.S. in Medical Technology or equivalent education to meet NYS DOH technologist standards.
• ASCP preferred or NCA certification.
• Experience: 0-1 year experience

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates the ability to perform clinical/technical/service/administrative tasks.
• Performs technical procedures in chemistry/hematology including but not limited to coagulation and urinalysis as outlined in policy and procedure manuals.
• Performs periodic/scheduled and as needed maintenance on instrumentation/equipment with documentation of remedial actions.
• Performs quality control and calibration procedures; verifies in LIS; records on Levy-Jennings charts.
• Ensures QC/calibration procedures are completed by signing records per shift/day/month, logs are maintained.

Education

B.S. in Medical Technology or equivalent education to meet NYS DOH technologist standards.

ASCP preferred or NCA certification.
