Job summary

ECMC is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Technologist for the night shift in Buffalo, NY. This full-time, on-site role involves performing tests across multiple clinical laboratory sections, preparing specimens, and reporting results to support patient care.

The position requires a CLT/MLT degree (or equivalent), NYS licensure or certification, and strong knowledge of QA/QC, LIS, and safety protocols. Expect night shift operations with standard on-site responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Possession of a degree in CLT/MLT or related science meeting NYS standards.
• Current CLT certification or licensure, or equivalent experience in NYS.
• OR a natural science degree with relevant licensed/experiential work in a lab.

Responsibilities

• Perform tests in two or more clinical lab sections (Biochemistry, Blood Bank, Hematology, Microbiology).
• Prepare specimens, calibrate equipment, and read/interpret results for accuracy.
• Communicate essential data to physicians for patient care.
• Maintain records and prepare reports for tests.
• Perform quality control and troubleshoot instrument issues.
