Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Clinical Lab Professional to join our team at Ascension Providence in Waco, TX. The role involves handling specimens, performing tests, and reporting results in a high-volume lab environment.

Minimum qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in a chemical/biological science or MLS degree and 1 year of lab testing experience. ASCP/AMT certification preferred. Four benefits plans are offered to eligible staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology.
• 1 year or more of clinical laboratory testing experience OR MLS degree.

Responsibilities

• Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to SOPs.
• Perform routine and complex procedures according to SOPs.
• Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation.
• Make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving.
• Prepare, test and evaluate new reagents or controls.
• Report accurate and timely test results.
• Perform preventive maintenance and quality control.
• Identify and replenish testing bench supplies.
• Assist with processing of specimens.
• Maintain a safe work environment and PPE.
