Job summary

Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Technician to perform a variety of routine and complex tests in the Central Clinical Lab. You will operate instruments, run quality control, prepare specimens and reagents, and assist with inventory management while ensuring accuracy and patient safety.

The role includes training bench staff, supporting cross-trained rotations, and maintaining compliance with core standards and accreditation.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in a related science meeting regulatory requirements.
• 0+ years of experience; preferred MLS/MLT certification.
• Bachelor’s degree in related science with national certification or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Operate instruments and perform checks, calibrations and basic troubleshooting.
• Perform and report Quality Control procedures and address QC failures.
• Prepare samples, reagents and manage inventory; collect and register samples.
• Train bench personnel and students; act as a lab system superuser as needed.
• Conduct routine and some complex tests to aid diagnosis and treatment.
