Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or related field.
• Passing score on Clinical Laboratory Proficiency examination approved by HHS (HEW) or equivalent.
• 0-2 years of acute care experience recommended.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine and high complexity lab tests accurately with timely reporting.
• Adheres to quality control procedures and documents results.
• Performs instrument function checks and preventative maintenance.
• Troubleshoots instrument malfunctions and notifies appropriate personnel.
• Ensures safety regulations and proper PPE use.
• Communicates results and issues to healthcare staff.
• Assists with proficiency testing and regulatory data collection.
• Collects specimens for phlebotomy duties when needed.
• Collaborates with team to complete duties efficiently.
• Maintains regular attendance and complies with policies.
