Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology, Basic Science or related field required.
• Licensed by NYSED as Clinical Laboratory Technologist, required.
• Minimum of one year work experience and/or training in the area.

Responsibilities

• Sets up and performs routine/complex lab tests; prepares and tests specimens and reports results.
• Follows established in-process quality control procedures and records data.
• Performs routine/preventive maintenance on laboratory equipment.
• Troubleshoots instrumentation, media, reagents, stains, and methodologies.
• Maintains supplies at the workstation; ensures quality control/assurance activities.
• Applies Infection Control practices and procedures.
