Job summary

Labcorp is a leading global life sciences company seeking a Technologist for the Chantilly, VA area. The role requires performing routine and complex testing, monitoring instruments, and ensuring timely, accurate results to support patient care.

Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor’s or MLS, 1+ year of lab testing experience, and familiarity with LIS systems. The schedule is Tue-Sat, 8:30AM–5:00PM, with benefits and ongoing opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology plus 1+ year of clinical laboratory testing experience
• MLS degree qualifies candidate for the role
• ASCP or AMT certification preferred (3+ months experience)

Responsibilities

• Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing
• Perform routine and complex technical procedures per SOPs
• Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation
• Make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving
• Prepare, test and evaluate new reagents or controls
• Report accurate and timely test results for patient care
• Perform and document preventative maintenance and quality control
