SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University in Brooklyn, NY, is seeking a full-time Clinical Lab Technologist for Chemistry & Immunology. The role involves performing procedures in Chemistry and Hematology, with familiarity of routine instrumentation and commitment to quality control.

New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist Licensure.
ASCP certification (preferred).

Responsabilidades

Perform clinical laboratory procedures and examinations in Chemistry and Hematology.
Work with routine instrumentation and methodology in Clinical Hematology and Chemistry (Blood Gases, Olympus, Architect).
Maintain and troubleshoot quality control on Chemistry and Hematology instruments.
Demonstrate flexibility and collaboration to perform other duties as needed.

Job Description

The Department of Clinical Laboratories at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University is seeking a full-time Clinical Lab Technologist / TH Clinical Laboratory Technologist 3, Chemistry & Immunology. The successful candidate will:

Perform clinical laboratory procedures and examinations, and any other tests or procedures conducted by the Chemistry and Hematology Laboratories.
Have working knowledge of routine instrumentation and methodology used in Clinical Hematology and Chemistry:
- Specific familiarization with Blood Gases, Olympus, and Architect instruments preferred
Have good knowledge of quality control, maintenance, and troubleshooting on Chemistry and Hematology methodologies and instruments.
Demonstrate flexibility and collaboration to perform other job related duties and responsibilities as needed and/or required.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

Bachelor of Science Degree or equivalent in Medical Technology, Physical, or Biological Science.
New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist Licensure.

Preferred Qualifications

ASCP certification.
