You will work with routine instrumentation (Blood Gases, Olympus, Architect) and collaborate with the team. Flexibility to take on additional duties is required to support lab operations on campus.

• Perform clinical laboratory procedures in Chemistry and Hematology.
• Knowledge of routine instrumentation and methodologies used in Chemistry/Hematology.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and monitor quality control on chemistry and hematology instruments.
• Demonstrate flexibility to perform other duties as needed.

The Department of Clinical Laboratories at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University is seeking a full-time TH Clinical Laboratory Technologist 3, Chemistry & Immunology. The successful candidate will:

• Perform clinical laboratory procedures and examinations, and any other tests or procedures conducted by the Chemistry and Hematology Laboratories.
• Have working knowledge of routine instrumentation and methodology used in Clinical Hematology and Chemistry, specific familiarization with Blood Gases, Olympus, and Architect instruments preferred.
• Have good knowledge of quality control, maintenance, and troubleshooting on Chemistry and Hematology methodologies and instruments.
• Demonstrate flexibility and collaboration to perform other job-related duties and responsibilities as needed and/or required.
