Job summary

The Johns Hopkins University is seeking a Medical Technologist to perform clinical laboratory tests and procedures to obtain data for diagnosis and treatment of disease. You will analyze test results to ensure accuracy prior to reporting.

Minimum qualifications include a NACCLS-accredited CLS degree, NAACLS-credentialed tech, and ASCP/AMT certification. This on-site role is in the School of Medicine Campus, with a typical M-F 8:30am-5pm schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Clinical Laboratory Science (NACCLS-accredited) or related field.
• Graduate of NAACLS-accredited medical technology program.
• Current ASCP or AMT certification/registration.

Responsibilities

• Perform clinical laboratory tests following specimen collection, handling, and processing procedures.
• Prepare reports of technological findings by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information.
• Follow quality control policies.
• Document information appropriately in systems.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Maintain supply inventory and manage lab resources to achieve job results.
• Other duties as assigned.
