Job summary

The Johns Hopkins Hospital, part of Johns Hopkins Medicine, seeks experienced laboratory professionals for casual PRN shifts in the Core Lab at Johns Hopkins Bayview in Baltimore, MD. Responsibilities include performing a range of lab tests in accordance with established procedures to ensure accurate results.

Ideal candidates have a histotechnology/MLT/MT background, with a minimum of 2 years in a related lab environment.

Qualifications

• Completion of post-secondary program in Histotechnology, MLT, MT or cytopathology/cytogenetics or related field.
• 5+ years of direct laboratory experience may substitute for completed secondary education.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine and complex clinical laboratory tests according to established standards and procedures.
• Duties may vary by laboratory and shift (lab scientist/tech roles such as Cytogenetics Tech, Cytopathology Tech, or Histo Tech II).
• Position is flat-rate, on call or PRN and not merit eligible.
