Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Technologist to join the team at Tufts Medical Center in Boston, MA. The role offers a $10,000 sign‑on bonus for external candidates and a schedule from Monday to Friday, 11:30am–8pm with on‑call weekends. Eligible for a 10% shift differential.

You will perform routine and complex tests, monitor instruments, and ensure quality results to support patient care. Requires a science degree and lab experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology.
• 1 year or more of clinical laboratory testing experience OR an MLS degree.
• ASCP or AMT certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria.
• Perform routine and complex technical procedures according to SOPs.
• Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation for proper function.
• Make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving.
• Prepare, test and evaluate new reagents or controls.
• Report accurate and timely test results to support patient care.
• Perform preventive maintenance and quality control procedures.
• Identify and replenish testing bench supplies as needed.
• Assist with processing of specimens when required.
• Maintain a safe work environment and PPE.
