Job summary

Banner Health is seeking generalist laboratorians for a busy, high-volume clinical lab in Phoenix. You will perform waived and non-waived tests under supervision and help ensure regulatory compliance. There is potential responsibility for specimen collection and processing.

Ideal candidates have an appropriate laboratory degree (or equivalent training) and phlebotomy skills, with a focus on accurate, timely results and patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in laboratory science or Bachelor’s degree in chemical/biological science.
• Equivalent laboratory training meeting CLIA rules 42CFR493.1489/1491 or military medical training may apply.
• Demonstrated competency in phlebotomy where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Perform waived and non-waived tests as defined by CLIA ‘88.
• Assist with department compliance with accrediting/regulatory requirements (CLIA, JCAHO, CAP, OSHA).
• May collect, receipt, and process biological specimens into the lab.
