Job summary

Qualifications

• Education or experience in laboratory science or medical laboratory technology.
• Knowledge of specimen processing and quality control practices.
• Ability to operate lab equipment and follow testing protocols.
• Strong attention to detail and accurate documentation.
• Experience with EHR/LIS and other required software.
• Understanding of lab safety, infection control, and biosafety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Receive, prepare, and process specimens per established procedures.
• Perform core chemistry, hematology, and/or PCR testing as trained.
• Analyze specimens and report results within established turnaround times.
• Review test results for irregularities and elevate critical values per protocols.
• Maintain analyzers and perform QC checks, calibrations, and maintenance.
• Collaborate with team and support quality assurance initiatives.
