Job summary

EPIC Health is seeking a detail-oriented Laboratory Technician/Technologist to join the Diagnostics – Laboratory team in Warren, MI. You will perform laboratory testing, process specimens, maintain equipment, and ensure compliance with quality and safety standards in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Qualifications

• Relevant education, training, or experience in laboratory science or related field appropriate to duties.
• Knowledge of specimen processing and quality control practices.
• Ability to operate lab equipment and follow established testing protocols.
• Strong attention to detail and accurate documentation practices.
• Ability to navigate EHR/LIS software.
• Understanding of biosafety and infection control procedures.

Responsibilities

• Receive, prepare, and process specimens per SOPs.
• Perform testing in core chemistry, hematology, and/or PCR.
• Analyze specimens and report results within established turnaround times.
• Review results for irregularities and escalate as needed.
• Prepare reagents, controls, and solutions per procedures.
• Follow SOPs to maintain reliable testing practices.
• Operate, monitor, and maintain lab analyzers and equipment.
• Complete maintenance tasks and document activities on schedule.
• Perform QC checks, calibrations, and equipment verification.
