Job summary

Hematology Oncology of Indiana is seeking a skilled Medical Laboratory Technician/MLT to perform routine blood testing, quality control, and specimen handling in a central lab environment. Qualifications

• A.A. or A.S. degree is required.
• State license required as appropriate.
• National lab certification preferred.
• Minimum four years experience in healthcare, preferably clinical.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory testing and quality control procedures.
• Maintain documentation including test logs and equipment records.
• Manage inventory and place orders for supplies.
• Conduct manual and automated blood tests with precision.
• Operate centrifuges and other lab equipment and perform maintenance.
• Initiate troubleshooting for instrument malfunctions and contact service when needed.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and maintain lab cleanliness.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies and confidentiality of records.
• Assist in training new staff and perform overtime as required.
