Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate degree in chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science, or MLS/Lab Tech training, or a 50-week military medical lab course.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Demonstrates problem solving skills.
• Shows good time management and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine and specialized moderate and high complexity lab tests on blood and body fluids.
• Maintains quality control and instrument checks; follows policies and procedures.
• Keeps records and data per regulatory requirements.
• Teaches and mentors new staff and students in lab policies.
• Collects chain-of-custody urine drug screens as required.
• Assists in all laboratory areas to ensure patient care.
