Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent education as defined by CLIA.
• MLT registry eligible or equivalent required.
• MLT (ASCP/AMT) certification within 12 months of hire is required.
• MLT (ASCP/AMT) certification via U.S. military medical laboratory programs acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Follows testing procedures and QA guidelines; documents corrective action for non-conforming events.
• Prepares reagents, maintains supplies, and manages inventory to reduce waste and expense.
• Exercises clinical judgment to prioritize tasks and troubleshoot test systems with appropriate specialists.
• Reviews and revises procedures to meet accreditation and regulatory requirements (CAP, TJC, OSHA).
• Maintains real-time communications with shift leadership regarding issues affecting patient care or department operation.
• Participates in planning and change initiatives through meetings, task forces, or projects.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
