Job summary

OhioHealth is seeking a skilled clinical laboratory professional to join the Hematology department in an evening shift. You will perform automated and manual testing, ensuring accurate, precise patient results and maintaining quality control across instruments and processes.

Responsibilities include data interpretation, QC documentation, mentorship of students, and adherence to safety and infection control practices in a high reliability environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required and ASCP certification or equivalent.
• Certified by ASCP or AMT equivalent to ASCP.
• Completion of BS degree and ASCP certification preferred.
• Superior customer service skills in a clinical setting.
• Experience in an automated clinical laboratory is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex analysis of body fluids; ensure result validity.
• Maintain instrument QC, equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Provide mentorship to new lab staff and students.
• Communicate with clinicians and support staff professionally.
• Follow safety, infection control, and quality assurance standards.

Education

Bachelor's Degree (Required)

Four year Bachelor of Science Degree

Registered by ASCP

AMT Certification equivalent to ASCP
