Job summary

You will perform high-complexity tests, ensure specimen integrity, and prepare samples for analysis and transport, while maintaining strict QC, safety, and HIPAA practices. Phlebotomy duties may be required.

Qualifications

• Graduate from NAACLS- or ABHES-accredited medical laboratory technician training; CE requirements apply.
• Associate degree in Laboratory Science or MLT/MLS/MT.
• Hold Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Registered/certified through ASCP or AMT.
• Minimum one year post-graduation experience as a medical laboratory technician.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-complexity clinical lab tests across hematology, chemistry, microbiology, cytology, histology, urinalysis, serology, blood bank.
• Ensure accurate specimen processing and timely testing.
• Prepare specimens for transport or mail-out and maintain equipment readiness.
• Uphold quality control, safety, and regulatory compliance (CLIA, OSHA, HIPAA).
• Communicate results clearly with clinicians and collaborate with healthcare staff.
