Job summary

Methodist Charlton Medical Center is seeking a Medical Lab Technician to perform laboratory analyses of specimens and to route test requests to the appropriate patient care units, facility or physician.

The ideal candidate will hold an Associate's Degree in Chemical, Physical, Biological, Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology, be enrolled in an MT/MLT program with clinical training, and possess MLT(ASCP) or MT(AMT) credentials; strong communication and teamwork are essential for this

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or approved MT/MLT training program with clinical training.
• US Army Medical Laboratory Specialist course completed or in MT/MLT program.
• Certification in MLT/MT (ASCP/AMT) or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory analyses of specimens as requested.
• Distribute test requests to appropriate patient care units or physicians.
• Communicate findings clearly and maintain collaborative relationships.
• Be engaged in continuous improvement of patient experience.
