Job summary

Baptist Memorial Health Care is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician to perform and report results of defined lab procedures across assigned shifts. The role requires precise specimen handling, QC, and collaboration with staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities include prioritizing specimens, conducting tests, and maintaining instrument calibration. Minimum two years of MLT experience and appropriate ASCP/AMT licensure are required.

Qualifications

• - Two (2) years’ experience as a Medical Laboratory Technician.
• - Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or equivalent military training.
• - Licensure required: ASCP, AMT, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Receives, identifies, organizes, and prioritizes specimens to ensure accurate and timely test processing.
• Performs and reports requested laboratory procedures.
• Performs quality control, proficiency testing, calibration of instruments used and routine instrument maintenance and inventory control.
