Job summary

QuarterLine is seeking a dedicated Medical Laboratory Technician to support Madigan Army Medical Center at JBLM in Tacoma, WA. The MLT will receive, accession, and process specimens, enter data into LIS and MHS Genesis, and ensure specimen integrity and testing readiness in a fast-paced military setting.

The role requires 1 year of MLT experience, CPT certification, BLS, US citizenship, and graduation from an NAACLS/ABHES or AMT accredited program.

Qualifications

Minimum one year of qualifying experience as a Medical Laboratory Technician within the past two years.
U.S. citizenship and ability to work in the United States.
CPT certification from a recognized certifying organization.
BLS from American Heart Association or American Red Cross (card must show AHA/ARC).
High School Diploma or equivalent and NAACLS/ABHES or AMT accredited MLT program.

Responsibilities

Receive, inspect, label, accession, and process specimens from Madigan and other DHA laboratories.
Enter specimens and lab requests into LIS and MHS Genesis.
Verify specimen integrity, timing, labeling, containers, and testing readiness.
Prepare specimens for distribution to appropriate lab sections or transport.
Perform venipuncture as needed.
Maintain HIPAA, SOPs, PPE, and Joint Commission standards.
