Responsibilities

• Performs venipunctures using proper collection technique for outpatients and inpatients.
• Ensures correct patient identity throughout collection and processing.
• Label and preserve specimens, prepare for testing or transport to reference labs.
• Maintain inventory of phlebotomy supplies and notify when low.
• Adhere to safety protocols, PPE usage, and spill cleanup procedures.
• Provide clerical support and communicate results to staff.
