Responsibilities

• Accessions samples and enters testing requests into the laboratory information system by automated and manual methods.
• Ensures correct specimen collection, labeling, anticoagulants, temperature control, and specimen integrity.
• Transcribes laboratory reports from reference labs into the LIS.
• Maintains inventory and supplies for specimen collection and related materials.
• Supervisory guidance provided by Supervisory Medical Technologist; works independently within policies.
