Qualifications

• Selective Placement Factor requires phlebotomy experience documented in resume.
• English language proficiency required for direct patient care.
• One year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-4.
• Education substitution: full 4-year degree with related coursework; transcripts required.

Responsabilités

• Identify patients/specimens and manage collection, accessioning, processing and storage.
• Verify orders in the computer and instruct patients on specimen collection.
• Perform phlebotomy using venipuncture techniques and universal precautions.
• Centrifuge and aliquot specimens with properly labeled containers.
• Maintain a friendly, respectful working environment.
• Arrange for STAT or ASAP testing as needed.
